Green Islanders can Decrease Bermuda’s Reliance on non-renewable fuels by installing solar water heaters.
The Bermuda Department of Energy is giving to help finance solar water heaters through a rebate system.
It states that the most residences spends between $400 and $1000 per year on heating water, based on energy and water consumption figures provided by the power company.
The price of putting in a solar water heater is high; retrofitting a a home’s water heating system can cost $6,000 to $12,000. But the Government is now giving aid of up to $1,500 per house.

The Solar Water Heater Rebate Initiative is intended for homes and just one application can be made per review number.
